Greek Food - Recipe: Kourambiedes

A variation of the previous recipe.

1/2 Cup Almonds (Finely chopped)
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1/2 lb Butter (Sweet butter)
3 Item Egg Yolks
6 Cup Flour
3 Tablespoon Icing Sugar
  • Melt the butter and let it cool off.
  • Mix the sugar, yoke, almonds, baking powder.
  • When the butter has cooled put in the other ingredients.
  • Start adding the flour one cup at a time until the dough is not that sticky.
  • Cut in small pieces and shape then in to whatever shape you like.
  • Bake in the oven at 350F for 1/2 hour.
  • Let the cookies cool off and sprinkle the powdered sugar over them.
